An announcement on Ferrari's Web site said that Schumacher, 40, will begin training immediately to make sure he is in shape for his comeback and that he is ready to go. Schumacher suffered some injuries during the winter after crashing a racing motorcycle, and the team needs to be sure he is fit. Regardless, the news comes as a strange contradiction to what the 40-year-old German's manager, Willi Weber, told the Daily Mail in comments published Tuesday. He will require surgery for head injuries sustained in the accident. (LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC) Ferrari's Felipe Massa to undergo surgery after crash at Hungarian Grand Prix 07/25/09, 12:49 pm et Ferrari driver Felipe Massa will require surgery after sustaining head injuries during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday. He suffered a concussion, bone damage to his skull and a cut on his forehead. He will have surgery and remain in intensive care. He was conscious when he was taken to the hospital, and his general condition is stable, Ferrari said. Massa crashed after striking what appeared to be a spring that had fallen off the Brawn of Rubens Barrichello. Massa ran across the grass on the entry to the corner and then went across a run-off area on the exit with the brakes on--but with the throttle also open, which prevented him from slowing down. The Ferrari struck a four-layer tire wall with such force that it caused the barrier behind it to bend....
